siandam
I went to all 5 nights and I loved them all, but I need a break, I'm tired. On the whole it was a wonderful experience and I will do it again if given the chance. I just hope it's in the spring of next year - the cold in line and then the heat of the Riv, and the cold waiting for the train was the worst thing about it. Things I will do differently next year - - take more time off work - trying to work and fit in shows nearly killed me- always get a railing to stand behind - the rails near the bars were life savers, no fighting the crowd for drinks- make friends more with the people around me - I tend to be too shy to introduce myself This will be something I will remember the rest of my life and if I hadn't gone I would have always regretted it. Edie
I'm hoping to go see them at the last show of the upcoming tour. If they played Chicago again soon at the Riv or the Vic, I'd be there for sure. Auditorium or Lollapalooza type venue? Nope. I'm hoping they realize how awesome it is to play GA in Chicago and never ever ever play the Auditorium again. NEVER EVER. Sam, I am with you on this. As nice as Millennium Park is, in comparison, the concert just felt flatter. Smaller GA venues FTW! I was there all 5 nights. Its obvious that the shows were cock. Friday was the best rock and roll show I have ever seen, and they just got better after that. The realy cool thing about the residency for me was the totaly unexpected pleasure of standing in line for many, many cold hours with the salt of the earth! These people were great! It was harder to say goodbye to them than it was to see WILCO leave the stage for the last time on Wednesday night. I hope they do it again. I hope they do it in Febuary again. A summer residency might bring out the weenies. The cold drives 'em away. ...back to life, back to reality. Rob, thanks so much for your caring about everyone. The line was almost as good as the shows themselves, and that's saying a lot. Also, who has the warming circle pics??
LouisvilleGreg
Andrew took some of those warming circle pics, but I'm not sure he's obsessively on here, or for sure even at all, but he sure is a swell guy.
Joey Slugs
I standing in line at the Riv right now. HA!

boxfulloflecords
A question for those who went to every night of the residency...the fact that you now heard ever proper Wilco album song in concert does that take away the desire to see them again live? I am a completist and love to hear all the songs off an album. If I accopmplished that I probably wouldn't see Wilco live again...or at least until a new album came out. Thoughts? and for those of you who would see them again lets say they did another 5 nights of just regular shows in Chicago in the next year with no new material to be played. How many would you go to?? I have tickets for CT on Sunday and am debating the trip from NYC. Nevermind that I am drained and sick again, and have to officially go back to work Monday, but I am worried that it will be somewhat anticlimactic. Just as Jeff says we spoiled them for their tour, I think they spoiled us for any near-future "regular" shows. I'm still riding the high from this week and my ears are actually still ringing (not a good thing I guess) yet I do feel the urge to see my beloved Wilco again...not the worst of dilemmas, but a dilemma nonetheless
laurie
I went to all 5 nights, and i'd go see them again tomorrow! That's no exaggeration, i just love seeing one of the best bands in the world play live, even if i have to hear shot in the arm and impossible germany 5 nights in a row! We went to all 5 shows and going to see them again Sunday - Would do it all again in a heart beat. Don't get tired of it - we enjoyed the freezing comrades as much as the music, wouldn't trade the experience for anything.

The time went quickly and the cold was bearable because of all of you. I feel like I have a whole group of new friends who really understand me and my Wilco "thing." I absolutely cannot wait to have the opportunity to see you all again. Maybe in April??? I have some huddle photos but don't knowhow to post them - [help anyone] Thinking about changing my screen name to boxfulloflecords

H.Stone
I saw 3 of the 5 shows, and even if I had seen all of the songs performed, it wouldn't change my desire to see them live. If I could swing a show on this next leg (financially and schedule-wise), I'd do it without hesitation.
