W(TF)
Anyone else like this? I got to listen to this double CD thoroughly on a recent road trip. Not to turn this into "another Band thread" but I have to say I think the Robbie Robertson with Galactic tune (Going To The River) is the standout track. They basically do two versions of it, one a slower tempo underpinned by drummer Stanton Moore's "big beat shuffle", and then just as you think it's ending, it kicks into a more uptempo version more in the vein of classic Clapton/Cream. Amazing stuff. http://www.amazon.com/Going-To-the-River/dp/B000W107QY Some of the other tracks are only so-so, but most of them are good. The one Corinne Bailey-Rae does is great too. Synthesizer Patel
no. i got this though: fats domino - the complete reprise recordings if you ever see it cheap, i'd recommend picking it up.
LouieB
Not to quibble, but Fat's best work was during the 50s on Imperial Records which would be included in this set.. There was an excellent two LP set that is still available as well if you look for it. The sides from that period have been repackaged many many times over the years. markosis
Robbie Robertson with Galactic I just *shuddered* out of my chair. Then vomited on myself.
W(TF)
For some reason it works though. Like french fries and mayonnaise.
