redeyedndblue
I love that the band has been incorporating this into the recent setlists. I've seen them 9 times live, and Lollapalooza was the first time that I heard it. Sounds great live.
Sir Stewart
I feel the same - always loved this song. It bugged me when a few years ago Tweedy was bantering onstage at some show about Wilco songs he didn't like playing and said something like "Can't Stand It? ...can't stand it." watch me fall
I was excited they played it in Charleston, especially with the addition of the Total Pros. I really didn't want to hear Shot in the Arm...again.
JerseyMike
I think Tweedy has a little resentment for the song, since they added it to Summer Teeth after they finished recording because the label "didn't hear a single". I always thought it should have been a Top 40 hit!
Three dollars and 63 cents
Can't Stand It was the first Wilco song I ever heard. I got sort of sick of it over the years, but in the spring I was listening to Summerteeth in the car a lot, and I played Can't Stand It a lot when I'd be driving to work, especially on mornings when I felt like I wasn't awake yet. I started loving it again, and it was great to get to hear live a few times this year.
So Long
I usually skip right to She's A Jar on the cd, but live, it's great
froggie
i'll never forget the first time i heard this one. that first moment is a tad loud. i remember cranking up the volume and getting the fright of my life when the song started. i quickly raced to the stereo to turn it down!
