Anyone watching The Amazing Race this season?

I am a huge fan of the Amazing Race. I watch it every season (except for that silly family version) anyway I feel no connection to the teams this year. Really no stand outs. That being said I feel Nick and Starr will be the winners. I am usually pretty good at calling the winners(I usually make the call by the third episode). I think I have been right 4 out of the last 6 times...thoughts, opinions...

Like you, I've watched all the seasons except for that boring family one which I gave up on after 2 episodes.

 

Considering how many times they've finished first, it would be hard to pick a bigger favorite to win this than Nick and Starr.

 

Each season I usually have a team I'm rooting for, but this year I'm not sure whom I want to win. If pressed, this is the order I'd like to see:

 

Nick & Starr

Toni & Dallas

Aja & Ty / Andrew & Dan (tied for 3rd)

Ken & Tina / Terence & Sarah (tied for last)

 

p.s. I was glad to see Kelly & Christy go last week (I found them to be quite obnoxious.)

Kelly and Christy were also the sloppiest players on the show of all time. They never read any of the clues and were helpless. I am suprised they made it so far. Ken and Tina would be my second choice. They seem to play the game right but are not doing anything that stands out.

That part where they were getting covered in powder in India was priceless. They so deserved to go home due to their constant ineptness.

 

The Ken and Tina team seem to be too volatile for me to truly get behind. They're always screaming at each other. Same thing with Terence and Sarah. That Terence guy in particular seems to be a dick.

I have a tough time watching this season. So many clueless (dumb) racers. How those "frat" boys made it so far being so lazy is beyond me. And I have no idea how Terence's girlfriend puts up with him. My god is he the biggest baby.

 

And the paint thing was probably the funniest thing so far this season.

Agreed. Terrence is an assclown.

 

Nick and Starr do seem to be among the more competent and confident racers this season. I'd like to see the couple with the screwed up marriage do well. They seem like they're putting a lot of effort into the game and into fixing their relationship.

 

Aside from the old hippies who were obviously destined to lose right off the bat, there were no oddball teams to root for (or against) this year like there have been in previous seasons (Kynt and Vyxsin...love her!, the hippies, the "my ox is broken" guy who got arrested in Africa).

 

I also agree that Family TAR was awful, but seeing the horrific fundie family lose because she and her kids had no idea where most of the states in the US are on a map was pretty rewarding.
