ST. LOUIS - Mickey Carroll, one of the last surviving Munchkins from the 1939 beloved film "The Wizard of Oz," died Thursday. He was 89.

The guy who played the coroner "she's most sin-SEEER-ly dead" Lives in North Florida and is still alive and kicking.

It would suck if every last one of the actors in that scene were dead. I'm sure I watch movies where everyone on screen has passed all the time, but with the munchkins, that'd just be too much of a bummer.

Every time I see news about one of them I think about the Chevy Chase-Goldie Hawn move "Under the Rainbow." The movie itself was so-so, but some of the "munchkin" gags were priceless.
