uncool2pillow
My kids have almost outgrown the Wiggles, not quite yet. I just showed them your picture and they were quite happy.

FixedBayonet
Speaking of the Wiggles, about seven or eight years ago when Wilco first came to Australia (the Leroy Bach line-up), they played at the Big Day Out. I was standing next to Murray from the Wiggles as Wilco came out on stage and Jeff Tweedy spotted him and said, "It's a pleasure to play in front of you, sir!" to which Murray Wiggle replied, "The pleasure's all mine, mister Tweedy!" The audience got a real kick out of it. I then of course read or heard something a little later about how Jeff dug the Wiggles because he used to play them for his boys when they were younger. I reckon my anecdote must serve to neatly summarise this whole thread. Not the definitive word, nor the last word but certainly pertinent!
AJ673
My kids like Wilco as well, but also tend to favour Daddy's music over mine. Very diverse - From Lucinda Williams, The New Pornographers to Slayer. In terms of actual kids music, they like a group called Bobs and Lolo. Also, movie music is hot in our house - especially the Pink Panther theme and the theme from Jaws. (I usually chase after the kids like a shark!) As an aside, because of this my 3 year old son calls sharks "do-do's"
English St
I played cricket against Greg (old yellow Wiggle) just after he left the group. Really nice bloke. What's more, he had to adjust some of his batting gear (we wear padding on the thigh under the pants). He apologised and dropped his trousers to fix his gear up revealling Wiggle yellow underwear. Just saying. Founding drummer of Crowded House, Paul Hester (RIP), was very involved in getting them started, and appeared on the TV show from time t time. Finally - going by Jeff's version of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star on Someone Elses Song is enough for me to petition a kids album from Tweedy et al!
