nalafej
May 19th, 2004. It was also Pat's first show, first show without Leroy. Pretty big show in Wilco history. I was there the next night and the energy on Spiders was awesome - first time playing the updated version with the new band. Unreal.

phish907
Seems like only yesterday... LouieB I saw the outdoor Pittsburgh show not long after the show at Otto's. It was strange seeing the new members but the potential of what could be was evident. Nels was very impressive.

I've said this before, but he was actually the first guy in the band I ever talked to. I asked him a question about one of his pedals.
LouieB
And the story I never tire of telling is Jeff saying to me after the first show, "Just wait six months...". LouieB

Wilco played there two years in a row and they were free concerts. Cool venue outdoors and you could also watch the soundcheck. Although the year before was actually the better show, still enjoyed seeing the new band rock.

nalafej
Remember how everybody was wondering who this Nels Cline guy was that was too good for Wilco? He made some comments on his web site a couple weeks before the gig apologizing to his fans for compromising and joining Wilco. I forgave him about a song into it. Didn't think much of that Pittsburgh show. I was there too.
