Cheese on Toast is super-freaking-over-the-moon to announce, that in proud association with Galesburg, Mystery Girl and 95bFM, Pavement will be playing one-only show in New Zealand on Monday 1st March at Auckland’s Town Hall.Recently, in fact the week that Stephen Malkmus was in town, Pavement announced a special one-off re-union tour – reforming what is regarded as probably the most important American band of the nineties. According to the band’s representatives: “Please be advised this tour is not a prelude to additional jaunts and/or a permanent reunion.” – in other words – this is it, ladies and gentlemen – you last ever chance to see Pavement – performing in NZ again for the first time since November 1999.Tickets go on sale 9am Oct 23rd from The Edge.UPDATE : It appears that Auckland is the FIRST DATE on the world tour – so, just like the sunrise, we get to see them FIRST IN THE WHOLE WORLD!!!
