chunt983
First off I hate these presales, I think they are a crime. I hear about the show, I'm ecstatic, I research and find out how to go about getting involved in the presale. I change my schedule around just to be available for it, and sure enough at 10am the site is so slow and laggy I couldn't get in there fast enough to get tickets. I couldn't even connect to frontline tickets till about 10 minutes after 10! I'm just wondering how many tickets were sold for the Carnegie hall show, and if I can remain optimistic for a shot at good seats when they go on sale to the general public? I doubt anyone has this information, but I figured I'd throw up a hail mary.
jff
I don't know the answer, but you have reason to be optimistic. In the past, I have had terrible (relatively speaking) seats that I purchased through pre-sales and great seats through the regular sale.
Doug C
They are all sold during pre-sale. You are S-O-L, my friend. No seriously, it is 10% of the venue.
chunt983
haha, great, now I feel better. This is a great venue it's going to kick so much ass. Cannot wait. The first time I saw Wilco was at the 3 rivers arts festival and I just was a moderate fan at the time, well after what seemed like 2 and a half straight hours of great music, I was hooked ever since. Maggie
haha, great, now I feel better. This is a great venue it's going to kick so much ass. Cannot wait. The first time I saw Wilco was at the 3 rivers arts festival and I just was a moderate fan at the time, well after what seemed like 2 and a half straight hours of great music, I was hooked ever since. I managed to get tickets for the Carnegie show after 40 minutes of pushing "refresh," but it appears that I'm going to be at the back of the venue (not that I'm complaining). Look at the bright side - with the public sale you may very well end up with better seats than mine! Really though, I've often heard of people having much better luck with public vs. presales. I'm sure you'll be fine.
plsullivan
I spent 50 minutes (most of it getting kicked out of Front Gate for security reasons) to get one seat for Durham. Row M center. My friend got one ticket right at 10:00 am with no problems but it's in row S! I noticed that they allow 9 minutes to buy the tickets. So sometimes I'd finally get back into the site and there would be no tickets then (likely after getting kicked out and after having to log back in), there would be two tix and when you chose that option it'd say none available. I got ONE great seat but it was not a heartwarming experience. My boss is pretty laid back so he didn't mind the 50 minutes too much. Seems Front Gate needs to refine the process. Next time I'll probably just go with Ticketmaster (yuck!!) and get two seats for more money but with far less hassle. Oh well, Wilco in March. Good seat.
