Ghost of Electricity
So, obviously these guys are great musicians. But the real question is "are they a novelty act?"
Lammycat
1. Pure Guava2. The Mollusk3. God Ween Satan4. Chocolate & Cheese5. The Pod6. the rest Not a bad guess, but it goes like this: 1. Chocolate and Cheese2. The Mollusk3. Pure Guava4. Quebec5. GodWeenSatan6. the rest So, obviously these guys are great musicians. But the real question is "are they a novelty act?"Maybe when the first started out....Not now. Saw them at red Rocks for the first time in a long time this past fall and they are a full-on R7R band, as they have been for quite awhile.
jc4prez
So, obviously these guys are great musicians. But the real question is "are they a novelty act?" I don't know what about them would lead you to believe they're a novelty act, unless you don't believe humor belongs in music.
Terrapin Ben
any band that can fill up brown rocks is no mere novelty act. but as i have never seen them live in concert, i would say their music speaks for itself. Unique, but not novel.

Terrapin Ben
looks like Ween is going to be playing Sasquatch at the gorge this summer as well. Pretty cool! I might try to make it out there for that...
Terrapin Ben
WEEN is playing at the historic Wilma Theater in Missoula, MT the night before Sasquatch. I LIVE IN MISSOULA!!!! WOOOOOWHOOO!!!! Now i don't have to spend $70 on a ticket, travel 5 hours, and sit through a days worth of indy music just to see them. Let's hear it for hometown shows!!!
tinnitus photography
i've only seen Ween once but i would definitely go again. really fun show.
Terrapin Ben
Ween sold out in Missoula really, really, really fast. Unfortunately, i am forced to resort to buying tix from a scalper. i will see this show.
Lammycat
Small venue, I presume? Try craigslist before resorting to a d-bag.
tinnitus photography
or the ween board. maybe someone's got extras they can't use.
Lammycat
Try the venue, too, closer to the show or day of. They re-release tix (often) that people cancel at last minute....
Terrapin Ben
the ween board scares me. talk about a cesspool. and i plan on taking the craigslist route. if i have to pay more than face.... well, then i guess i'll just be a bit bitter and pay a little extra. the venue holds 1067 people.
