sgtpepper64
So I have just purchased, but have yet to receive, Golden Smog's greatest hits. Opinions? Bob I haven't heard their "Greatest Hits" album, but I do own "Down by the old Mainstream" and "Weird Tales" and really really enjoy them both. If you're new to GS, you won't be disappointed. choo-choo-charlie
So I have just purchased, but have yet to receive, Golden Smog's greatest hits. Opinions? Bob 'Tis a good disc. Worth it just to have the early version of "Until You Came Along" and "Love and Mercy." I haven't heard their "Greatest Hits" album, but I do own "Down by the old Mainstream" and "Weird Tales" and really really enjoy them both. If you're new to GS, you won't be disappointed. ...but it is worth it to also have these, 'cause there are some good tracks on both that aren't on the compilation... Pastor Tim
I'm with those who say "Why not buy the catalog?" I haven't heard the comp yet, but I'll buy it because it has some previously unreleased rarities. My buddy Dave Biljan produced the first Golden Smog EP on Crackpot Records.
