Welsh Rich
The result was tough on us, but I'm more annoyed with us not kicking the points and taking the opportunity for a drop goal when we were in their 22, that the card is just a side story. We played better than France but couldn't take our chances. It was *almost* like the Wales of old - lots of pressure but no points. Can't look beyond the AB's now - they squeezed the life out of Australia yesterday and they'll do the same to the damp froggy mess the French have become under Lievermont. Gutted. Welsh Rich
Ha! As the French were starting to find their feet I was beginning to wonder with the AB's would bottle it again, but you kept your nerve. Nice to see the team look so pleased as well, such a relief! Albert Tatlock
I must admist I did start to root for the French seeing as they made most of the running, and Parra was taken out twice - one black eye each time - though Trinh-Duc caused more problems. But it was the right result, and I really, really enjoyed watching 'Fatty' Donald's gut bulging out from his jersey - you could tell he hadn't had the weeks of conditioning - but what a great story! How we missed Priestland - for the kicks and running the back line - Hook was crabbing across way too much.
