FYI- you can take the south shore train from chicago to south bend for $22 round trip, and you can drink on the train!this is the day after my birthday, so i'd love to get together a nice train crew for this show! Wise Enough
I'm contemplating going to the show, maybe from Chicago. On travels in the US then and seeing if I can fit it in without pissing my friend off too much by leaving her in another city. What time train were you guys thinking about catching? Dude
I assume you were eyeballing the train that leaves at 12:38 PM and gets into South Bend at 4:03 PM. The earlier 8:45 AM one is a tad bit early for whiskey.

chrrose2786
Yeah, the South Shore is a great way to get to South Bend. The Cove isn't very far from the airport, either. If you're getting a cab, I'd suggest taking Lincoln Way West, heading Southeast, towards Main (or 31/933). Then just head south. Turn left at South St, right on Carroll, and left onto South. It's pretty damn easy, and that's the mapquest way. And, according to them, the trip is 3 miles.

Dude
I'm still planning on this - seems like the best way to avoid hellish construction on the way to South Bend, too.
