Shakespeare In The Alley
I saw them last Monday, and it was incredible. Mos Def was there, so we got Sweepstakes (which I'm not too fond of) instead of Kids With Guns (which I love,) but that's my only complaint. Don't Get Lost->Demon Days ending was the best part, I think. I always forget how perfect those songs are too end Demon Days.

Bootie Brown filled in on Stylo where Mos Def would have been. Ending with Don't Get Lost In Heaven>Demon Days is the perfect way to close not only because they close Demon Days, but the video feed has the cathedral glass with Gorillaz on it. So were you at the MSG show? I saw the video of Lou Reed doing Some Kind of Nature and it seemed that he wasn't firing on all cylinders.
Shakespeare In The Alley
Nah. Patriot Center, Fairfax, VA. My friend was at the MSG show, and he said Lou Reed was alright, but clearly not interesting in being there.
Winston Legthigh
I was at the 10/16 show too. Excellent excellent show. Thought it was strange that he didn't introduce the band. How many of "the kids" knew that they were seeing Paul Simonon and Mick Jones?
PopTodd
Damn.Thought about going with the family, but could not pull the trigger on it this time. (Too much other stuff going on.)Hopefully we'll we able to do it next time. And with 1/2 of the Clash in tow, too...Damn.
Shakespeare In The Alley
Damon introduced Paul and Mick at the Patriot Center show. They were the only band members he introduced. I thought that was kinda weird, but I guess the rest of the band wouldn't have gotten much recognition. Unless that was Simon Tong also playing guitar.

He did the same in Chicago before Plastic Beach. Simon Tong was also there.

I figured it was, because he's been all over Damon's post-Blur stuff, but I couldn't possibly tell from my seats.
