MKHstudios
Excellent show last night in New Haven, CT's coolest place to see a rock band. Chuck Prophet and the Mission Express are simply one of the best deals out there - serious bang for the buck. I leave every show with that feeling... "I just saw something awesome." 10/03/10---------Monkey In The MiddleAlways A FriendHot TalkWould You Love MeA Woman's Voice Will Drug YouFor You (Springsteen)Good Time CrowdHolding OnSonny Liston BluesLet Freedom Ring (solo acoustic)Summertime ThingTina GoodbyeQueen BeeDoubter Of JesusYou've Been Gone-----------Who Put The Bop....I'm Not Talking (Yardbirds) They drove from San Francisco in a van and are now peppering the northeast playing some great venues - so turn off the TV, get off the couch and do the right thing!upcoming dates......THU NOV 04 THE LIZARD LOUNGE CAMBRIDGE MA FRI NOV 05 THE LIZARD LOUNGE CAMBRIDGE MA SAT NOV 06 NARROWS CENTER FOR THE ARTS FALL RIVER MA SUN NOV 07 BAYSIDE BOWL PORTLAND ME MON NOV 08 RAM’S HEAD ANNAPOLIS MD WED NOV 10 UNION HALL BROOKLYN NY THU NOV 11 THE BOWERY ELECTRIC NEW YORK NY FRI NOV 12 WORLD CAFE LIVE PHILADELPHIA PA SAT NOV 13 CLUB HELSINKI HUDSON NY
blureu
That's a great set. Stephanie's record is worth seeking out. Tina Goodbye is a track from it.
bböp
Great-looking set! Chuck is a badass! This tour makes me wish I still lived in the NE. Also, just picked up Stephie's record and am eager to give it a listen...
mdpoet
Caught the show in Annapolis and it was a blast. There were some mic issues that led to some funny moments in the beginning and they just rolled with it. They are packed with so much energy, although Chuck mentioned the crowd was more suited for a PTA gathering, but by the end everyone was out of their seat and dancing. My favorite part was probably the history of the electric guitar. Awesome stuff! His banter is hilarious too!
