ALTWYS
Would really appreciate a quick review or at least a set list. Headed to Montgomery and Mobile tomorrow and Tuesday.
mus2009
just got back, very wet as always but the show was on.. The band sounded awesome as always & seemed excited to play for the first time since October. Nothing new was brought out, standard songs. Jody Stephens played drums on the final song though, Big Star's "In the Street". Stirratt doing his Chilton again. I'll try to remember songs..(out of order)AshesBBNI'll FightOne WingWar on WarIATTBYHITMWLYMondayCompany in my BackLate GreatsHandshake DrugsImpossible GermanyHate it HereWalkenShot in the ArmJesus Etc Hoodoo VoodooIn the Street
bböp
Complete setlist, as played, posted at I got your setlist right here... I'll chime in more when I can, but Jeff's best banter of the evening probably involved a joke about Wilco being "the anti-Morrissey," explaining that whereas the Mozzer has been known to stop shows when he smells burning meat, it occurred to Jeff that a lot of the songs they played sounded better with the aroma of barbecue wafting in the air. In the future, Jeff said Wilco might stop their shows if they didn't smell burning meat. Of course Jody sitting in is always great! Glenn popped up behind him a couple of times with cowbell embellishments...
mus2009
Jeff also had a funny quip about Godsmack playing a stage over & thanked everyone for coming, having made such a tough choice

The Inside of Outside
For a festival setlist, I see at least three songs that are not regulars - War on War, Monday, and In the Street. Not bad to get three of these in a shortened setlist at a festival. Reason #376 to like Wilco.
Lunapooka
I was at this show! Avett's--> Wilco were the biggest draw to the festival for us as it was our first time attending. If the river had risen up and taken me at the end of this show, I could have died happy. There's a great pic of us on my Facebook right after this show. I think of Jeff's joke about Godsmack every time someone mentions that band. If I recall correctly, he said "I want to thank you for choosing Wilco this evening. We realize you have a choice. You could have seen Godsmack"
