I was a fan in the mid 90's. Really impressed with reports from their 4 30th birthday party shows at the Fillmore in SF.

 

They do a good job with their fans.

Marianne Faithful, Ray Haller (Sweet Savage), Kid Rock, John Bush (Armored Saint –Metallica wanted him to join as their singer, when he declined Hetfield kept at it), Lou Reed, Jason Newsted, King Diamond, Merciful Hate

 

Night 3

Jerry Cantrell, Animal (Motorhead), Gary Rossington (Lynyrd Skynyrd), Pepper Keenan (Corrosion of Conformity), Jim Martin (Faith No More), Jason Newsted, Glenn Danzig, Rob Halford, Laaz Rockit,

 

Night 4:

Bob Rock, Geezer Butler & Ozzy, Newsted, Hugh Tanner (Band member in Hetfield’s pre-Metallica band ), Dave Mustaine, Lloyd Grant (played the guitar solo on Metallica’s first single, “Hit the Lights”), Ron McCovney (Original Metallica bassist)

It is totally weird to see Dave Mustaine and Jason up there playing with the band.

 

Whiplash is one the greatest metal songs of all time. I've always loved the power in that song.
