kidsmoke
Ahhh, I love the days immediately after Christmas, with all the lead-up stress over and finally just time to relax in each others' company and play with new toys and eat whatever cookies are left after Santa's visit! I spent much of today putting the house back into normal order, and laundering new Christmas-present-clothes. Fun to have time to play games and watch videos with the kids, without them being so busy with schoolwork, for a change! Happy post-Christmas, post- holidays, friends. Hope you are getting to slow down and enjoy these mid-winter days.
Fritz
The post-Christmas pre-new year's period is probably one of my favourite. Nothing but down time - mooching around the house, reading, more reading, playing with the kids, meals at night with those family members in town and general merriment. Here in the southern hemisphere we're launching into summer (though here in Sydney, we're kind of still waiting for the sun to come out - I'm desperate for a swim in the ocean to start shedding some of the many kilos I've put on over Christmas!) choo-choo-charlie
I wish I had more downtime. We had a few hours to sit on the couch with the pups once we got back from our 2-hour drive, but I'm back at work today. Think I'll have me a scotch when I get home, or maybe two, since I received two bottles this year.
Heart full of holes
We're in FL still catching up with family, estranged fathers, ex-mothers-in-law, rambunctious nephews. Looking forward to returning home for New Year's Eve and some peace on earth. Best wishes, Donna (and all VCers) for 2012.
kidsmoke
Hi Beth! Peace and joy to you & yours, and a brilliant 2012! We are enjoying the small luxuries Christmas brought us. Plump new pillows that are almost too fat for their cases, and leftover handmade Christmas tamales. Life is good!
