Andrew McKean
Here is what I got for the Standing O tab. My source was one of the videos on youtube. There are the three main chords shifts and then the chorus chords plus the intro and thats all that Jeff plays. During Nel's solo he just plays E and then quickly will shoot up for a Dm (at the 'duh duh.' If that makes any sense, if not it's on the video.) As always any and all corrections are welcome!!! Enjoy!P.S. The spacing is all wrong but it should make sense pretty quickly. SarahC
I'm gonna have to give this a try. I was trying to figure it out the other night... was way off.
Bart
Anyone have any thoughts or updates on this? I've got the verse part down, but I can't make the chorus sound right (the "Maybe you've noticed I'm not ashamed" part) Do those chords work for that part?
Andrew McKean
I just saw the band play this live last night and was right in front of Jeff. It seems to be 100% accurate except for the part after he goes 'OH OH!' the chords in there change a round a little bit. But other than that this tab sounds good to me. Bart
Thanks Andrew! Maybe you can help me place the chords in the "maybe you noticed" part? Where do you put the chords for this part: Dm A DmOf anything that I've done Is it: Of any[Dm]thing[A] that I've [Dm]done ? That's the part that is throwing me. I can't seem to make it sound right. Thanks again.
Andrew McKean
(Bm) Of anything (Dm) that I've (A) done (Dm) The second Dm is the part on the record where you here two claps. But instead of clapping (obviously hard to do while playing the guitar) you play that Dm in the same rhythm. (Here) is a video where you can see it pretty well. Hope that helped. Bart
Wow! Thank you! Lightbulb goes off over my head. I was trying to play the Dm at "Of" instead of putting the Bm there. Makes all the difference in the world! Thanks so much for breaking it down for me.
Andrew McKean
No problem. What a great song, huh? Sounds (to me) great on acoustic as well as electric. Just played it the other day at my first paying gig!
