kidsmoke
Happy Memorial Day, everybody. The start of the endless summer, as well as a day to give thanks in our hearts to those who sacrificed so much. Hope it's a beautiful, relaxed day for all.

calvino
Kelly Hogan put on a great show at Millenium Park last night. LouieB Nice, relaxing day on Monday after two days of constant go. Wanted to make to see Hogan's set with the family, but figured a nice quiet evening would be best. How was the crowd last night, Lou, hopefully the hot weather did not deter people - Greg Kot had a nice piece on Hogan last week.

In fact the pavillion was ridiculously empty but the lawn was reasonable. Everyone played like it was a full house so it was cool. LouieB
choo-choo-charlie
I reconvened with my five best friends whom I've known since kindergarten in our collective hometown, went to an MLS game with my two older brothers, and then my wife threw me a surprise early 30th birthday party. It was an epic weekend.
kidsmoke
We sat around and played and lost the kids' foxtail (ball with a fabric tail attached) in the neighbors' yard (I hope his dogs haven't eaten it by now!) and then BBQ'd brats & ribs & chicken. Ate too much, listened to good music, traded jokes and stories until it was late....all in all, a perfect start to the summer. Lou, that sounds like a pretty fine Memorial Day. (Calvino, sometimes a quiet evening at home is just the ticket, after running ragged the rest of the week! ) Choo choo, you are still a mere 29?!! Such a pup. Happy early birthday, and what a cool way to mark it! Your weekend sounds great!

I had one growing up and in college...so much fun.
