remphish1
So I finally did it! I saw a show at Red Rocks..Loved loved loved the scenry. Thought the amputheter had a great set up, nice museum with restaraunt. Seating was good and spacious with room to move around! The Bad! Parking wowza! I didn't know where to go so was at what seemed the lowest parking lot! Yikes I am out of shape. During the opener and before the show I watched the storms in the distance. By the 3rd song of Steely Dans set torrential downpour. Worst I have expierence in my 20 years of live shows. I ended up watching 5 or so songs inside the museum on the screen they had. The band sounded great and I stayed outside for 75 % of the show despite the rain. I'm glad I made it just wished the weather held out. In terms of the live band though they are tight and worth seeing. As a bonus the next night I saw Toad The Wet Sprocket at the Arvada Performing Arts Center... another great venue! Loved it! Also, I said this once before. Toad is one of the nicest band ever. Chatted with the band after the show and they couldn't be nicer! Good week in Colorado for me! Two live shows, Some time in Steamboat Springs, Vail, Colorado Springs, Boulder, Denver etc..Also went to a Rockies game...good times and good beers!
The Inside of Outside
Sorry to hear about the weather. What a treat, though, to see a show at Red Rocks! And a Rockies game to boot. That completes it.
Moss
Glad you enjoyed it! Sounds very much like my last Steely Dan at Red Rocks show, also a huge rain storm. They had to stop during Hey Nineteen and move the band back under the cover. Had roadies holding on to the backdrop to keep it from blowing around. Rain is not really the norm here in Colorado and it tends to blow over quick. I have seen so many shows at red rocks and only a few instances of rain in the bunch. But heck, probably a memorable show!.
