Rosie and LouieB back on the air

Recommended Posts

If you enjoyed the Wilco shows we did a couple months ago, please tune into WDBX.org this Thursday August 7 for another show of all vinyl, recently or not so recently acquired fare. We will be playing small strange small label 45s as well as good old LPs and 10 inchers in the rock, blues, country, R&B, early American, jazz, soul, rock and roll and other genres.  It is also a fundraiser for WDBX.org a small community radio station which has run into some financial trouble.  Call in and we will mention you on the air (cheap thrill.)

Also call in and bug Rosie about posting the two Wilco shows so you can listen any time.  This should be fun and include the usual brand of inter-generational patter.  Again this is Thursday at 10 PM Central time on WDBX.org.  Thanks. It should be a gas.

I am not sure if anyone actually listened to our broadcast, but maybe someday Rosie will post it and the Wilco shows, because they were fun to do and I am hope fun to listen too.

I would like to put in a request that if you know Rosie (former Tweedy's Gurl here) , she has been on WDBX for over five years and intends to keep doing this for the foreseeable future, Unfortunately WDBX has run into some financial problems and could really use a some donations to ensure they are going to stay on the air.  Sorry to be begging here, but it is a good cause (community run not for profit radio), so if you have a few extra bucks, please donate at WDBX.org.  Your support is appreciated.  Thanks

Did tune in and heard the crosstalk between you and Rosie before the two Dylan Tunes - that Wanda Jacksons' Thunder was a great version (never heard that one before), also the Staples Singers version of Hard Rain (though I think I heard that before).

I chuckled when you put Rosie on the spot regarding WDBX's phone number.

I am trying (with some difficulty) to get Rosie to post the shows.  We have this one and the two Wilco shows that I think people would enjoy hearing. We have copies of some of the other past shows as well (though not all) that were also pretty entertaining.  Since we are rank amateurs we don't have a podcast or anything like that.  So if you know Rosie, contact her via social media and bug her about this. She never comes on here anymore so talking to her here is a waste of time.
