Sun Caught Fire
Nels was back at the Capital last night and played the entire show with this incarnation of Phil Lesh and friends. A really good show and Nels (who sat in just for a few songs last Spring) was great and fits in perfectly with the improvisational foundation that is the Grateful Dead related bands approach. After 5 nights in a row at the Cap back to a dose of reality.

After 5 nights in a row at the Cap back to a dose of reality. You did the 5 nights! Awesome, so jealous. I couch toured the webcast last night. Thought it was great, the band and Nels' participation and contributions. I was expecting him to only sit in for a segment, so was surprised to see him from the beginning. Nels played a couple times with the Allmans at the Beacon and I thought it was like fitting a square peg in a round hole. With Phil's band he fit right in, in a Nels kind of way. He particularly smoked Franklin's! I don't know who that Lebo guy is, but he's a great player. Gets that acoustic sounding like an electric for sure. And Joe Russo is such an incredible player.
