roadhse ma
Went to Seger / Geils Concert on a throwback Saturday night at The Boston Garden. The show was a great one from my viewpoint. Of course at the age of 69 Bob Seger is missing some range but, really it's the upper register and it's hardly noticeable . IMO you get more than your money's worth with Song Selection, a Formidable Band, and a Sold Out Audience w/ Energy.Local Heroes Geils opened and performed for the Hometown crowd well!Peter had a couple of gunslinging guitarists ; Duke Levine & Kevin Barry with him as well as other original members. He blasted through his numbers with the enegery of someone decades younger. Instead of soaking the front rows w/ Champagne like the old days, at the end of his performance he tossed out a couple dozen of long stem roses to the women.A tip of the cap to fellow VC & BTXRs (Springsteen fan website Backstreets)Whom came up from Jersey & NY,and hooked me up w/ Backstage passes Review from Boston Herald here https://www.bostonherald.com/entertainment/music/guestlisted/2014/11/last_best_show_bob_seger_and_the_j_geils_band_at_the_garden
tinnitus photography
Peter had a couple of gunslinging guitarists Duke Levine & Kevin Barry with him as well as other original members. except, of course, for J Geils.
worldrecordplayer
Did they play as the "J.Geils Band"? Without Geils. It's widely known there was a lot of antagonism between Wolf and Geils over the split up, to the point where Jay Geils could not perform under the name "J. Geils." Hmm maybe this is how they are getting around the issue they appeared as Peter Wolf and the J. Geils Band Personally I would like J. Geils back but I look at those other two gunslingers ( whom play a residency at Lizard w/ Dennis Brennan )And I'm glad Peter chose them.
