Gary Louris "Living Room Show" Freehold, NJ 1/31/16

Yesterday I saw Gary Louris at Concerts in the Studio Freehold. This is a venue Autumn Defense and Nels has played prior. It is in someones house in their photo studio. The capacity is 50. Afterwords there is a pot luck dinner. One of the coolest things about the show was when Gary stepped in the house there was only maybe 10 of us and passed around a paper and pen an asked for request. Even though mine were not played he did play a good amount off the request list which is great!

Show was well over two hours. Gary mentioned during the show Golden Smog is not active but never say never for a new album. After the show he also told some stories about Todos Santos.He said Jeff said to him. Back in the day we used to follow you guys around now you guys follow us...oh how the tables have turned! Obviously it was in a joking manner (I hope )

Sounds like an amazing experience and a great show. Thanks for sharing!  I'm seeing Gary in his new duo later this week (Au Pair).  Love that guy.
