summerdai
As a lead singer, he's more like Dylan, mostly character with little prettiness, but the vocal blend they achieve (Pat and John are sweet and Jeff provides the eccentric character) can be gorgeous and similar to The Band, but there is no lead vocalist like Richard Manuel or Levon Helm in Wilco, I agree.Yes, that sums it up. choo-choo-charlie
Didn't the Kicking Television residency have zero repeats? Nope. It was very heavy on YHF and AGIB. The first night they played 10 from AGIB, and 11 from the album each of the other three nights. They played 7 from YHF the first night, and 6 from the album each of the other three nights. They did sprinkle in tracks from every other record, mostly from Being There, and a little bit of Summerteeth, A.M., Mermaid Ave., etc. But if I were to take a glance at these setlists and summarize them, it seems like the emphasis on AGIB/YHF/BT from 2017 is pretty similar to 2005 at the Vic. It's all Wilco, and I love it.
Knight Rider
They did have a residency in 2006 or 07 maybe where over the span of 4 or 5 nights played every song that had appeared on a Wilco release. Think those shows were at the Riv if memory serves me right...
