sonicshoulder
I have an odd obsession with how much particular acts cost to book. One of the first things that comes into my mind when I hear someone is playing is "wonder how much they charge". I have a friend with some industry insight and I've been blown away by some of the rates he's thrown around for certain acts. Doing a little digging on the web I found the link below. Its an old article but still lends some perspective on supply and demand vs my tastes and what I think people are worth. Kinda neat reference, granted there are plenty of variables that would affect a bands cost at any given venue. https://variety.com/2014/music/news/degy-entertainment-breaks-down-artist-booking-fees-1201189498/

Winston Legthigh
Nice to see the low demands of Los Lobos, but I think they must have raised their rates lately, because their tickets are now in the $60-$80 range.
sonicshoulder
What instigated the post was the Brandi Carlile video someone posted last week. Several months ago I heard she was $120K...that blew my mind. But now judging from that Grammy's video it looks like a good deal!
