From what I've heard: The DVDs were originally going to be released over 3 years ago but due to all the copyrighted music that was on the episodes. It is very expensive for MTV to pay for all the licensing of the music on the show. Hence the show was too expensive too release on DVD. Apparently there is like only one copy of the masters of the show and it has the copyrighted music on it. So I guess they are hoping to see if it is worth the cost of paying for the licenses by seeing how good the show sells on itunes. After ten years of popular demand, The State is available again! The first season of the critically acclaimed 1993-95 MTV Series will be released on iTunes Music Store, starting Tuesday, September 26th. Depending on how many people download, MTV will release subsequent seasons, and then eventually, hopefully, a DVD. Actually it kinda blows because when I was offered free tickets to the away Hawaii game I didn't have the $800+ for airfare and a hotel. Now if that would have been given with the free ticket you would have been right. This game free ticket to the game, Free ride back to ole college town, Free gameday Parking, Free place to sleep and my newest not so secret admirer will be buying me whiskey both pre and post game. All I need is a victory by the local team.

Found out yesterday I am getting a free ticket to the Hawaii game. A night game no less there will be plenty of whiskey drank before this one.
