Haha. So true. I had a hard time stopping last night so that I could get some sleep....and here I am back again. I guess that's a good thing.

Right? Good things happening here.

Getting into my third listen. Headphones, folks, headphones make all the difference. I can't believe how many layers, textures, and flourishes I missed on the first two listens. It's so lush. Damn, I think the record as a whole just jumped up a notch or two.

Little chance: Born Alone and Open Mind

Strikes me odd there's not more love for the title track, or the semi-title track. Whole Love is really quite wonderful and gives the back half of the record what it needs: a breezy number where it doesn't sound the band is trying to do something, where it's just six guys in a room playing.

Just finished my first listen. It's a confounding record, to be sure, that I think will reveal itself over the next few listens. Which is to say I dig it. It's challenging.

YES! Thank you, Wilco, for continuing to prove why you're one of the finest bands working.

And someone correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't streaming it like this tantamount to leaking it? Couldn't someone capture the stream and then distribute it? Right? Would it be uncouth to anxiously await not only the stream but someone PMing the capture?
