in Just A Fan
we had the worst seats in the house for this show...last row in the last balcony. Climbing the stairs and asking the ushers where our seats were was a joke. they just kept pointing up and up and up and up. Thank you WXRT presale!!!!

"What's all this writing on my hand here...'George, make sure you change out of your pajama bottoms AND tops for the volleyball practice. Love, George' ...damnitt!!!"

You should have just told her that your friends were from Europe.

Itunes is what really burns me up. I hate that program.

Unfortunately I will be out of town this weekend, but if you want to eat at a great neighborhood joint in Old Town, send me a PM with the time you'd like to eat and how many will be in your party. I might be able to do something for ya...if you like ribs that is.

I'm out, O-man. But I will be in the river city this summer for some baseball. Will give you a holla.
Y'all have fun now, ya hear!?!

Please dont let this thread die talking about the Painful...

And Jack White is worthless.
I love Jack White like a little brother
I think a better name for Widespread Panic would be Widespread Painful
Beggar's Banquet steals Exile's lunch money and then beats it up after school
I dozed off at the Tom Waits show last August
Richard Cheese is a genius

Happy BDay OMan! I'll see you in Brooklyn momentarily.

What about the "washed sheet of blots" stories? We had to cut up the pants leg into squares and everyone just sat around and chewed on a piece of jean material.
(j/k )
the original "acid washed"!!!!!
-
are we all holding back on the "washed bag of weed" stories?
-
I once washed 4 Rolling Stone tickets for the Voodoo Lounge tour.
That sucked.

I'll start!
Except for Better Off Dead and Being John Malkovich, John Cusack's career is pretty much useless to me.
what about this?
I love the Swanky Modes.
I think Mr. Toppinhat is creepy.

they still come to texas.

My only guess is that she is, and has always been in love with you. Maybe she didn't know it until you decided to move in with her, but she digs you, man. She was obviously hoping to turn your friendship into something more, and you broke her heart by finding true love outside of the nest.
I don't know if I'd clean the toilet with her toothbrush, but I'd be damn sure to find a nice hiding place for yours.

I keep hearing it's the bomb

Actually, I might say Pearl Jam is the American Oasis.
spot on!
-
There are some bands on that list that deserve some wider recognition in the USA. Bands like Echo and The Bunnymen, Stone Roses and Blur are classic. Oasis even had some fine moments but they aren't the best bands in the world. I just like seening musical perseptions from around the world. I always wonder what people thought of bands around the world. I guess this shows me
I friggin hate Oasis. Mainly due to this regular who plays the whole "Morning Glory" album every time he comes into the bar. This guy is my own personal Buddy Revell. ...plus he drinks Blue Moon, so there you go.

I followed this series for quite some time. Very addictive.
...and for all you Garth Ennis fans out there

Watching "88 Minutes" the other night is reason alone to vote for Bob.

I don't think they have Bi Bim Bop on the menu, but if they do, the answer would be no.
Almost as fun to say as it is to eat. Have great time tonight, folks!
Oh, and if any of you want to get your meat on while you're in town, lemme know and I can hook you up with a great rib joint in Old Towne.

Amitabul.
It's not really close to anything (except Superdawg).
The webpage says they offer cooking classes, but I'm pretty sure I heard the owner tell someone that they're not doing that anymore.
It's not for everyone, but if you're not deterred by the mere concept of vegan Korean food, you might love this place.
I just wish they were still down on Southport, where they were much easier to get to. I'm guessing the rent got to be a bit much for them.
I used to live down the block from Dave's (amitabul's owner) first place in Chicago. It was on Irving Park and it was called Jim's Grill. The place sat like 15 people at the most, but it was amazing. After falling in love with his veggie pancakes, I took a couple of his cooking classes to learn the recipe. He's a great guy and I'm glad you all enjoyed it. One question though, being a vegan joint, can you get an egg on top of the Bi Bim Bop?
Please tell me that the foosball table got utilized!
