  1. the bonus cd of the entire album was actually coupled within the lp package, next the the first record (in the sleeve) This intended to be merlely a bonus, even if it is the entire album.... the disc comes in a small slipcase, without any liner notes ( which imo actually gives it a cool feel as the "vinyl cd edition of SBS"

I was gonna buy another copy anyways to get the Bonus disc and of course the dvd. Happy listening, kids!

I sorta don't like this... but I never liked the fact that they didn't sell one package with the CD, DVD, and LP. So I guess I'm stuck buying the DVD/CD package and the LP/Bonus CD package, right? Thanks.

  2. EDIT: I originally asked why the Sky Blue Sky vinyl wasn't listed on the official MusicToday page anymore. Well, I clicked the "Vinyl" category on the left hand side, and then it showed up! NOt sure why it isn't listed on the main "Music" category page.

Would you guys recommend the YHF or AGIB currently being sold on the official site?? Any quality issues? Thanks!

  3. Or the Vic

    or the Riv

    or the Aragon

    NOT the Aragon.

I was there last night for String Cheese Incident (don't ask...they were good in 2000, now they are not, but I was going to hang with some friends), and it was the worst pre-show experience of my life. We waited 1.5 hours in line to get in the front door. We missed all but 3 minutes of the 1st set. When we walked in, the line was still going around the corner. Someone said that Ticketmaster was to blame for understaffing at the Will Call window (tons of peeps had will call), and also there was some labor union issue. On top of that, there was 1 guy sitting in a folding chair ripping people's tickets as they got in at a rate of about 2 tickets per minute.

I read that a few people also got taken into back rooms and harassed by security

Aragon = bad news. Too bad since it's very cool decor inside.

  4. Hilarious review

I watched their live webcast last night from the KROQ Inland Invasion. Overall it was terrible. They came out 50 minutes late, but did play for about 2 hours (longer than I thought).

Axl is a caricature of himself.

GnR was my first favorite band back in '91 (I was very young... and my parents wouldn't let me go see them, cause they thought it wasn't safe...)

  5. Show was great! Normally I would have happily camped out on the benches all day for a good spot, but my friend has a bad sprained ankle and was on crutches, so we got to stand in the handicapped area, a raised, enclosed platform right next to the cameraman and in front of the soundboard. Great view!!! And the sound back there was great too.

We have complete videos of War on War, Spiders, and maybe another song. Also many pics. Quality should be pretty decent... will post ASAP.

Jeff was cracking me up the whole time (comparing Canada's "wooing" abilities to those of the U.S. for "Kingpin". Also "Livin' in... Wisconsin!" was funny). Great crowd participation with the "Ole!" World Cup chant and the band names chanting. I think everyone should be pleased overall with the crowd -- there are always going to be some people trying to squeeze in your spot, also some drunk idiots, etc, but mostly people seemed to be loving it and getting into it.

I loved "Impossible Germany", especially the ending, and "Walken" was fun. Would have also liked "Is That the Thanks I Get?" or other new songs, but oh well.

Also there was another taper behind us running Microtech Geffels 300's > Lunatec V3, so it should be a sweet tape. It may not be posted for a bit though.
