It felt really great to have a little normalcy down there this past weekend. There was a lot of love at the fest! It was my first time to catch the boss and lets just say he had NOLA working for him. What a tight band and such an amazing performance. So much presence and emotion on that stage. Been going to the fest for a long time and the encore of "My City of Ruins/Buffalo Gals/You Can Look (But You Better Not Touch)/When the Saints Go Marching In" is the most powerful thing I have ever seen at the fairgrounds. Amazing show. I feel just about everything has been said. I'll just add: The Temple Theatre sounded and looked absolutely amazing. As much as I like the video/image back drop on last tour, the classic lighting at the temple was fantastic. The crown was absolutely great. Lot of older people out to support the big night in Meridian. As soon as the Band took the stage, every single person on the floor got right on out of their very comfortable theatre seat....I was worried about how I was going to negotiate the "down in front" calls!
