  3. Sold out show tonight at the 'Dise. Band was loose and having fun during this 2 hour set which featured a slew of older material. This was the 3rd straight sellout for Nada Surf at The Paradise - one of my favorite rock clubs in the country. The soundman was battling all night and lost. For large sections of the show Daniel's back up vocals were not audible and it took some time to dial in the low end.

  4. After being stuck in the back of Tip's night one I decided to have a little fun and go up front for the final night in New Orleans. Right in the middle of the action - 6ft behind Paul.

  5. 92.9/96/9 WEHM "Long Island's Progressive Radio"

This is easily the best radio station that can be picked up on the CT shoreline. The other day I heard, as intro'd by local dj, "a hidden gem from Wilco" - 'Glad its Over'. About an hour later they played 'What Light'.

  6. I stayed up last night to catch SNL. 'Hate it Here' sounded good/looked good and then of course I fell asleep and missed 'Walken'. Thank goodness for TIVO. I wish I had not fallen asleep, but SNL is so damn boring these days. Not to mention the teenager from Juno certainly did not steal the show (or make it funny). They postponed a sold out Charleston show for that - it is amazing the program is still on the air.

    unlike PJ's recording policy:

New Camera/Recording Policy For The Ev Solo Tour

No cameras of any kind, recording or recording devices at all (not even camera phones). If caught, your film, tapes, discs, smart cards, drives, any type of recording will be confiscated and you'll be escorted out.

We thank you for your cooperation

  8. Great night. While I do not have an exact setlist some highlights included: Pick up the Change, You are my Face, Radio Cure, Hotel Arizona, Misunderstood, Red Eyed>I Got You, Monday, Outtasight. I made a recording tonight, but was excited to be up close (4th row) made a beginner mistake and missed the first couple songs - ouch. Obviously still in recovery from the Riv run.

Cool little theater - just under 1600 seats. The sound system (Meyer) was small but was tuned perfectly by Stan and sounded great.

  9. I missed you guys last night. I fell asleep halfway through Castaway with half-eaten Chinese food on the bed around 8.

few ... thought I may have been the only one watching that one marooned in my hotel. wilson!

did manage to stand up straight and make it to the navy pier for the U2 3D imax. cool film. great crowd shots. 3D!

  10. Me? Eesh, I hope I don't show up on the tape anywhere...:ninja

I usually would not have recorded from so close, but that night I wanted to be in the action (9:30 pit!). I was about 3 people behind you.

Besides the normal whoo-hoo's and random song requests - the crowd was not bad.

  11. Until they ditched Hartford, CT my family had season tickets to the Hartford Whalers (NHL). Berman's or ESPN's seats were directly behind ours. I remember nights in the Hartford Civic Center where the beers and f-bombs where abundant from the ESPN guys.

This Berman video rivals some of the Casey Kasem outtakes from his "Top 50" weekend radio show.
