From what I hear, the major problem with her was that she just didn't do her job. I heard on CNN that she was something like 93rd in constituent approval out of all senators. I got really pissed at a friend of mine the other day. When he found out I wasn't voting for McCain he says "i thought you of all people would love having a woman VP." grrrrrrr.....

I wonder if McCain will ever admit that she was a major weakness.

Took me an hour total (3 pm - 4 pm) from car to line to electronic voting machine back to car in Lexington, SC. Both mayoral candidates and the incumbent congressman were there, which actually helped me decide whom not to vote for in those races, so that was exciting! Apparently I voted at a good time because I heard from poll workers there was a 3 hour wait this morning.

One of my staff called to say she is still in line to vote. She got to her polling place at 6:30 am.

Higher voter turnout and increase in voter registration is what I've been hearing. Plus around here you have all those old people like my 91 year old grandmother who like to be early to everything.

I'm gonna wait until mid-day (2:30 or 3:00 pm) to vote. One of my coworkers went to vote this morning at 6:00 and there were over 300 people in line. He said people were sitting in lawn chairs drinking coffee just waiting for 7:00 am. Kinda curious how my polling place will be since it will be my first time voting there. It's the biggest in the county, almost 2700 registered voters. I'm excited!

Dude, I'm a SC fan. I'll never be in your situation. Speaking of the Coaches Poll, do you think it's wrong of Spurrier to give Duke a vote every year? I know there's no national championship implications here,but I'm curious as to what impartial people think about that.
