  1. Thanks. I couldn't remember how long it took to sell out last year. Now that the some of the Cain's stuff is in the DVD, I wish I would have went to that one instead of going to the show in St. Louis.

The Cain's show was epic. Best Wilco show I've seen.

  2. I doubt there were that many in the presale. And I don't think it will sell out that fast. I could be completely wrong. The Cain's show last year took a few days to sell out I think. Bricktown Events Center seems like it might be a little bigger.

EDIT: I was right about capacity. Bricktown holds 1,800 and Cain's holds 1,400.

  3. I can't speak for OKC in '05, but I know at Cain's last year that presale tix were marked as such and granted you early entry before everyone else in line.

Yeah that's why I asked. I was one of the ones who got in early at Cain's. I can't go back to being with the unwashed masses again. :)

  4. No, all you get from the pre-sale is that you don't have to sweat the general sale. Same tickets either way. :)

Cool. I don't think it should be a problem in OKC, esp. with a GA venue.

  5. I thought OKC was 10CT, Tucson and Pomona were 12CT? Although, Pomona was a few minutes early, I think. Worked for me, though! :dancing

Yeah I see that now. I swear I saw noon somewhere. Dangit. Is there going to be a benefit from the pre-sale, like getting in early? Just wondering what I'm missing out on.

  6. Nice, Im watching the Brewer game on TV and they are interviewing Tweedy right now. He is wearing a Brewer Hat and his jean jacket.

Do you remember what inning? Trying to dial it up on my MLB.tv subscription.

EDIT: Hmm, for some reason on the archived game there is no audio for the first two innings and then it switches to the radio feed. This is disappointing. I was hoping to record it somehow.

  7. WOO HOO!

    :cheers

OKC?? Trying to hyperventilate...going to Oxford, MS in a couple of weeks and now I'll get to see them in June (hopefully!!). AWESOME news!!!
Looks like OKC might be as close as they get to me.

See ya'll in Bricktown. This is excellent news.

  8. MLB.tv is about $80 for regular and $105 for premium, which includes HD and suppodedly, DVR as well. I work evenings so I like to put a game up in the corner of my computer screen. When I'm at home, I'll watch one game on TV and put the laptop next to it playing a different game.

  9. What's the story with those black-out dates? Is it a proximity thing?

I think it has to do with TV rights. They would prefer that you watch on TV rather than on the Internet because of ad revenue. Of course, that doesn't mean that those games are always on TV in my market.

  10. Which package did you get? (If you don't mind me asking). I'm mulling it over. Worth it, not worth it?

I got the premium service about an hour ago. I don't think I can judge all the amenities yet because I'm at work and can't download whatever software it takes to get HD. I think I just had a basic package last year.

Be sure to check your blackout teams before you purchase. I'm just a baseball fan in general, so I'll watch any game. But it was annoying last year that I couldn't watch home or away games for the Rangers, Cards, Royals and Rockies.

  11. No, I only have the basic service, though I'm sure the premium is noticeably better. The picture has improved since last year -- not so choppy and pixelated, but crystal clear now. And though most of the new features are available only to premium subscribers, there are a few that are on the basic package, like the highlight log, easily accessible game summary and box score, etc.

OK I bought MLB.tv. First impression, it does look different and better than last year. It appears they aren't going to show the same annoying commercial for every break that advertises the service I'm already using?? ** fingers crossed**
