pretty sure you're not just sounding like a jerk. you've gotta be the biggest d-bag i've ever seen on an anonymous message board - and that's saying something. and there's no way in hell that it stops with your online persona. i think i read that you're 36 and single? what a shock - you come across as such a friendly, easy to get along with guy. lonely and angry is no way to go through life, son. that's just my opinion, of course, so don't take it personally. like a majority of the folks at the show we loved it and enjoyed singing along to just about every song.... it is my sincere

been to a few shows at the crossroads -- barely even noticed the VIP section. i wouldn't worry about it. it is right up front but it seemed really shallow - 10 feet deep maybe right in front of the stage? i'll be there but further back -- this will be my wife's first wilco show and my 9 y.o. son's first concert. we'll be angling for a picnic table in the back.

wilco & son volt both played Wakarusa three or four years ago (if memory serves... i was there but didn't get to son volt) there was some hope at that time that they'd do a little set... would've been a perfect opportunity... i'd go, of course, but i don't feel great sadness that it'll probably never happen. saw farrar solo a few years back at the bottleneck - thought he put on a really nice show. not a ton of personality but he does his coalminer dirges very well.

my little brother exhibits at some of the galleries down there and he/we'd been hearing some scuttlebutt at first fridays. very psyched. just hope i'm lucky with tickets. fyi -- there's a spot on 18th street just east of locust where the sound is better than anywhere inside the fence (and the sound inside is very good).

are they going to play at Grinders? saw the old 97's there a few weeks back ---- GREAT venue. should be a packer.

bought & watched it last night.... awesome. saw him in lincoln and thought the DVD really captured the mood/ambience of the show i saw. not sure why but i found it humorous that somebody felt they needed to write in the dust on the tour bus "sorry about the talkers in Portland" or something like that... i kinda like the talkers. like somebody said above, it inspires some pretty entertaining give and take and, i believe, adds to the show. i like seeing tweedy get a little edgy. great movie --- can't wait to make the kids to watch it with me tonight.
