  1. Is Aimee out there? It would be fun for Sleepy Kisser to do "Sky Blue Sky" if we can get the other band members out that night... What do you think? TR
  2. Was "Love and Mercy" a fan request? I'm a big fan of that song; saw Brian Wilson live a few times a few years ago, and he closed his shows with that song. It would be interesting to see how many VCer's requested a song last Friday, and Jeff played it. I know there were quite a few. Mine was "New Madrid"; yours was "John Wesley Harding" right? Matt requested "Either Way", ...
  3. Great show last night. Thanks to Sue for posting here and letting us know. The Vic seemed very full to me. I can't get "Pecan Pie" out of my head. Thanks to Aimee, who was talking to Sue in line when I called, I was able to get my song request in via cell phone ("New Madrid"). Thanks Matt for getting in line so early yesterday... Loved hearing "Love and Mercy" ... Awesome poster too! Best birthday in a long time.
  4. Man it's gonna be cold in line tomorrow night.... can't wait!
  5. Sounds more like solo McCartney to me... listen to Ram, then SBS...
  6. Got two tickets! Not a bad way to celebrate a birthday.... Tom
  7. Count me in for 2 tickets... Patiently awaiting details. Thanks Sue and Jeff for another opportunity to hear Jeff. It's not Barrington, but The Vic will be great! Tom
  8. I missed hearing "What Light" again on WXRT last night around 8:00pm, but they said it would be featured again today on New Releases Thursday. Here's the link that mentions it was played last Thursday: http://www.93xrt.com/pages/65588.php
  9. I'm really close to agreeing here...
  10. Finally uploaded my photos... http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/thomasryan20...hF9ebGBjTEdUulX
  11. I was just reminded how absolutely amazing that night was to play those songs with Jeff, and to hear you and everyone else play their hearts out ("California Stars", "Not For The Season"). It was the single most enjoyable musical experience I've ever had. And the smiles on everyone's faces show the pure joy of the moment. Whenever I hear "Shake It Off" or "Walken" or "What Light", I will remember where I was on February 24, 2007. As I'm sure you will always think of "Blasting Fonda"...
  12. This was a much more personal experience, than a "Wilco" experience. I don't recall anyone mentioning the new album, tour, etc... it was about spending time with Jeff and Sue, and playing his music. I had the most fun performing an acoustic version of "What Light" from Sky Blue Sky (it's in a different key), but no one said anything about it.... notice the capo 5 in the attached photo
  13. It was an amazing experience... we're performing "I'm The Man Who Loves You" (if you look real close, you can see the capos on the 1st fret). One of the highlights for me on the bass, playing to Jeff's leads. I'll write more soon. tr
  14. Let me be the first to say that tomorrow's living room show was fantastic and everyone had a most wonderful time!
