Hey Everyone Just wanted to apologize for this weekend's non-webcasts. We basically encountered a variety of circumstances that beginning with a slow connection at the venue, combined with network congestion at peak times (Friday and Saturday night at 9 pm) were basically causing us to have problems getting a stable stream up to the network. Ultimately we had to scale all the way back to a 56kbps stream, so we could get out of the building on to the network, and we only achieved that in the last hour of Saturday night's show. We got great recordings of both night's shows that will be po

Hey Kids We've just released a handful of tix for the remaining Riv shows via Ticketmaster... this is the only place we're posting about them and there are only about 10-20 for each night, so go get 'em, and see you there... HQ

there is no clipping in the mp3 files. try turning down the output level on your mp3 player. the mp3's were professionally mastered and encoded. wilco hq

The links to the MP3 downloads for the Ghost is Born EP have been fixed. You can once again download the tracks via the interface on the Enhanced CD. Enjoy. Wilco IT

Have been busy with the Sunken Treasure downloads, and will double check these, but, they should work. If not i will get them working by tomorrow. You do need to enable Flash in your QuickTime Preferences under the Advanced Tab (will post something about this on the wilcoworld).

we will be adding a button to the interface to download everything as one large file shortly. as the downloads were taking so long before we fixed the server issues, it would have literally taken days to download the full 134MB. Getting the servers fixed and the download speeds better was our first priority. wilco hq

All of the tracks have been lovingly encoded (by me) using the LAME Encoder and are 256kbps Variable Bit Rate MP3s. They were all quality checked and all downloaded and listened to by a handful of testers before we went live. If you download the file completely, you should not have any problem unzipping or listening to them. They are not corrupted. The issue with the downloads not working was an issue with certain versions of Windows failing to connect successfully to the server all of the time, compounded by an unknown bug in QuickTime (which is now known), and the server being overwhelm

we're sorting through some issues with the downloads... sorry. stay tuned.

We've upgraded the server that is hosting the files, so things should improve dramatically. If you're currently downloading and it's taking a long time, then try quitting QuickTime and relaunching the extras.mov from the DVD. All you need to do from there is click on each title and it will begin the download of each song. We're working on refining all of these other issues. If you continue to have problems you can email us at support@wilcoworld.net The files are high quality 256kbps Variable Bit Rate MP3's, encoded using the LAME Encoder, they should work in any MP3 player including iPo

another thing is you could try back a little later.. we got swamped right at 9 p.m. and why we chose to do a "window of time" to give everyone a chance, and so everyone didn't all hit the servers at once...

the movie is streaming at two bit rates, but, both rather high: 750kbps and 900kbps... if you have your QuickTime Preferences under the Streaming Tab, you can try changing your Streaming Speed... and then reconnecting. The movie will be live for the next six hours... ENJOY...

we'll be streaming audio only via Wilcoworld for those of you who prefer high quality and higher bit rate QuickTime over Windows Media...
