Because our devalued dollar will be put up against other nations currencies who are more strong like say China for instance. Our country will look very similar with a 2 class system when people are paid pennies on the dollar for their savings and 401k investments. You are skipping the step of the processing in the same plants as the virus exists. The pigs being moved to market and potentially polluting the processing plant. Maybe they package it in the states, but I doubt it. If it's as new and powerful as they say then the food supply must be dealt with. Did I say it was likely to happen? Probably, but like all govt. calculations they seem to have it backwards as it will now affect travel etc. across the entire country once it spreads in the major cities, instead of making the tough choice at the outset and actually getting control of the situation, at least in your own country. Maybe. That's what would make sense, but then every mainstream media source is pumping the hysteria to maximum levels. I'm not worried about it either and think it is a lot of hype but it does raise troubling questions as to why? And ratings is not an answer because Homeland Security could kill this story in an instant but don't. And in fact are saying if this one doesn't get us the next strain will. That's not really calming the fear and hysteria being created in the general public by the media, only validating it.
