  1. Any tapers at these shows? LCD shows have been a bear to find in the past.
  2. "Drunk Girls" got my attention, but "Change" made me a fan. I sought out everything I could find from them over the past couple months. I was surprised there was as little as there was. I got to see them here in Vegas last week and it was one of the best shows I've seen. Sleigh Bells opened for them which was a bonus, but LCD absolutely owned the crowd of probably less than 1000. I was looking for any recordings of this tour, but couldn't seem to find any; anyone that finds any please let me know, specifically the Vegas show on 10/12. I think there was at least one taper there. Pat
  3. I'll write a bunch more tomorrow, but I've seen them as a band live several times in the past, and listened to hundreds of shows, but this one may be the best. An absolutely amazing time featuring a band at their zenith, having an exceptional time playing the music they love. Surprises: Box Full of Letters, Casino Queen, Magazine Called Sunset. "Spiders" live made me finally like the song. Seeing Nels play right in front of me makes me believe the hype. Jeff was the most relaxed I've ever seen him, giving a kid in the audience a chance to play his guitar, and later, during "Hummingbir
  4. I was fortunate enough to propose to my gal at a living room show. Jeff was gracious enough to let me steal his thunder for a few minutes, then he played "ITMWLY" and another non-Wilco standard that I just can't remember the name of. Kidsmoke was there, maybe she'd remember. We invited him to the wedding, which was not too far outside of Chicago when the band was home last year, but we got no reply. I added "Someday, Some Morning, Sometime" to our wedding CD.
  5. I love that Jeff has been playing Love and Mercy lately. It's one of Brian Wilson's masterpieces, and I was trying, horribly, to mimic the 16 tracks of harmonies as Jeff requested! I was stunned he did "You Are My Face", then I was elated: I leaned over to my wife and said it was worth the ticket price just for that. Then he did the demo of "Hummingbird" and L&M... worth far more than the ticket price. Kidsmoke, Donna-girl, I have a poster for you that I will ship out when I get home.
  6. I've heard a ton of Jeff solo shows over the years, and this may be the best. Outstanding set list and great banter. Thanks, Jeff and Sue! The taper (Warner or Chandler?) said the show would be up in a month or so. I can't wait! What was the spiral bound Wilco book floating around? I was sitting a couple rows back from the reserved floor seats and saw some folks with it. Just curious...
  7. Got mine as me and the Mrs. decided to make a whole trip of it: we see Jeff Friday night, go visit some family over the weekend, then back to The Vic Tuesday for Son Volt. Since Jeff's is a charity show, would these tickets be tax deductible? Hmmm....
  8. How quick is WW's turnaround in notification of a win? I submitted mine about a month ago and never heard back. I got married over the summer, so I had my wife and I hold up Wilco shirts and the rest of the wedding party holding up the CD cases. This was on the alter of the church. Based on the winners so far, mine may not have been "personal" enough. Thanks for posting the link to the group of pics with the barbecue. WW only has the original group up. Pat
