Hell, I'm just excited so thought I would post why.
I did a poxy bid last week for the rock for kids org annual charity auction held in Chi-Town last weekend.
I wanted the signed RA guitar. Well, I learned late yesterday I had won it. I also had bid almost 3 times what I ended
up winning, thus having to pay (trust me, it wasn't a ton of $$). With that said, I get a great piece of memorabilia and
will be donating additional monies directly to rfk's since my winning bid was "so" low.
Hopefully the image will show above.
Below is a link to some of items they auctioned off.

I'm pretty bummed that he canceled his Tulsa show for an opportunity he "could not pass up," whatever the hell that means.
Austin City Limits filming....so a little bird told me, then just like that another bigger bird came by and knocked out said first bird and whispered
Saturday Night Live.

Ryan Adams EP gets title, confirmed tracklist
Writer: Mike Isaac
News, Published online on 18 Sep 2007
As we reported last week, unabashedly prolific singer/songwriter Ryan Adams has an EP coming out Oct. 23. Well, the EP now has a title, Follow the Lights, and a confirmed tracklist, which is as follows (complete with parenthetical song descriptors):
1. Follow The Lights (new song)
2. My Love For You Is Real (new song)
3. Blue Hotel (first official release, recorded live in studio)
4. Dear John (live in studio)
5. This Is It (Cardinals version, live in studio)
6. Down In A Hole (Alice In Chains cover, live in studio)
7. If I Am A Stranger (live in studio)
Along with all of this madness going on, Adams' label, Lost Highway Records, is working on putting out a box set of previously unreleased (although widely leaked underground) material in 2008, to include five albums that have never before officially seen the light of day.

'Blue Hotel' was the one song I looked forward to more than any other on the last tour. Killer song.
Could it be the touch of Robert Hunter in the lyrics? LOL.
I too love the tune and I still haven't heard the version by Willie.
I haven't played ET since it came out. Thats NORML for me, buy the discs to support but
listen to only the live stuff. I must say the Cards having made these ET tunes (live) all the better,
much better in fact. I knew when ET came out the new tunes would easily fit into the Card
chemistry within a live setting.

Just maybe RA could show JT how improv, tempo change and rearranging song structure make the live show even better.
The 6 or show Wilco shows over the last 18 months or so I've seen WHILE great are still pretty much the same.
-
Just saw where JJ. Cale has an October release called "Rewind".
Bunch of unreleased older studio tracks.

Sarah, so glad you are Goin Out West.
I love the Greek. For the past 5 years myself and few other Daltonians have gone to Berk to
catch one of our fav bands at the Greek and spend a few days.
Usually been summer or fall. I can't make this TRIP but 2 of the Dalton Road Trippers will be
in attendance. The Greek is a magical place for sure. I tend to move around the venue for the entire
show(s) there....just makes my show(s) more special I guess. Get up on the lawn for sunset over the bay,
simply beautiful.
Have fun. tell my friends at Jupiters (great place for pre-show) I said Hey Now. Also, at the UCatB student center
they have a little pub called The Bears Lair...tell them the same.
