Is it true that the host of the show gets to pick the musical act for the week?
No.
-
Jeez, this is infuriating. I'm just going to give up for the night and hope that I can D/L it somewhere later.
-
There have been sporadic issues with the stream. Stick with it -- or maybe restart it -- it should be OK (hopefully).
There's ongoing commentary in this thread.
Cool, thank you.

Tonight's show to be streamed on Wilcoworld!!
Just found out about the webcast and have it up but it is extremely choppy - like, I can't even tell what song they're playing. I have a cable modem, so my connection speed should be good. Can anyone help me with this?

Wilco:
2005-10-14 Asheville, NC
2006-3-16 Knoxville, TN
2007-6-17 Manchester, TN (Bonnaroo)
Tweedy:

I am a neophyte.

Jeff's gonna be pissed you guys read his mail.

Well, it's the back row, but I got tickets to the Ryman. Woo hoo!
-
This thread sort of reminds me of threads you see at Synergy (Pearl Jam's message board) frequently, where people pretty much just name the shows they have been to.
-
I noticed that too. Very cool.

Anyone know of a good audio bootleg for download?

First post for me here, so forgive me, or kick me out if you want, but what is up with comments like this? I probably don't belong here, like Pat. I bought my first Wilco album when YHF came out. At Borders! Crap, I have no business posting here with you serious fans. Hope you weren't pissed if I happened to be sitting next to you at a show. The last time I saw Jeff Tweedy previous to 2006 was in 1994 with Uncle Tupelo. As great as they were, I thought it was one of the worst shows I ever saw. The only thing I brought away from that show was how much better live the Joe Henry Band was than UT.
All I see now, and I wholeheartedly agree, are posts about how great, how tight, how damn positive Wilco is with the current lineup. Maybe Jay Bennett should be brought back, get rid of boring, out of place Pat? Oops, I forgot, I'm new to this so I have no business criticizing the "old ways" and the "old Wilco"or the "true fans", the ones that go way back to AM, that bastion of everything that "was" great, but I will take Wilco now , with Mr Sansone over any Wilco precedents. I love everything Wilco has done, everything Jeff Tweedy has done, but I consider the current line up of Wilco (including Mr Sansone) one of the most dynamic and exciting bands I have ever listened to or seen.
Um... I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure it was a joke. Lighten up, Francis.
(You can clearly see Pat's arm in my photo.)

hey birdjam, i'm in your pic! anychance you can send me a larger copy of the file? not for commercial purposes, of course.
i was wondering what the crowd looked like from up there. couldn't tell the size from where we were.
Check your PMs.

that's all kinds of awesome!
Yes, it was. I've seen Wilco from a lot closer, but being up there and watching them from that perspective in front of that many people was unforgettable. Got to meet John Paul Jones back there too.

Great pics, thanks for posting them!
I can see myself in one of them - right next to Nels' strumming hand in pic #51.
-
Excellent, thank you very much!

Still not at any of those sites. I am beginning to wonder if it is going to be posted anywhere. My wife thought she heard one of the tapers say they weren't going to post it anywhere... I had hoped she was wrong...
-
Is it still too early to ask if anyone knows anything about this boot?
-
I certainly feel like I'm being patient. I'm not upset about it, just thought I would ask and figured this was the right place to do so. No worries.
I know how these things work and realize the taper near us at the Knoxville show had a backlog of shows to upload. Just wondering if anyone had seen or heard anything. Guess I'll stop asking if it is going to ruffle so many feathers.

Other BitTorrent sites where one may find WILCO shows:
utilize the search function
I'm familiar with your boilerplate response, but thank you anyway. I am registered at all of those sites and have in fact searched them all but haven't found the Knoxville show. What I was asking is if anyone has heard about the show being posted anywhere yet.

Anyone hear anything about the show being posted anywhere?
-
It is amazing to me how much the venue in Charlottesville resembles the Bijou in Knoxville where he played the night before, at least from that picture of the stage.

Excellent quality video of

Cool, thanks for that - I had never heard it either.
