Hey guys!
Just saw this now! Thanks so much for the kind words & for checking out the new record. Been real busy so I've been less on VC!
-
Lotti you are the absolute best.
-
Setlist-wise this looks like the best Wilco one of the tour so far. Lots of gems.
-
This was the first Wilco Toronto show I missed in like 6-7 years and boy do I regret it. Going to Saratoga though, hopefully it will compare!
-
Wishful Thinking, one of Jeff's best lyrically and they never play it. Saw it once, my very first Wilco show.
-
I don't have a problem with the iTunes session review, it's pretty accurate, they left off a lot of the really interesting songs in favour of the pop songs, performances are good but that's about it.
It's just crazy to even consider AGIB as their second worst album since Summerteeth, or to even consider WTA the third best.
-
They really never give them their due on that site do they?
Pretty sure WTA is still their highest rated album since YHF, which is absolutely insane.
-
Pretty sure there's a great deal of sarcasm in there.
-
The best part is that RS put Impossible Germany and Spiders as the two "key tracks" or whatever and Nels doesn't even play on Spiders (or even solos on the KT version)! Pretty bad...
-
Poptodd's thread is for the short and sweet so this one can be for the long and gross lol. There's just no way Solace can keep his list to anything under 50 and I feel like I'm doing an injustice to a lot of the records I've really loved by only posting a top 5, so here's my in progress top 40.
Post yours!

-
Why is no one talking about this new album. I for one think it's pretty good but very reminiscent of other songs on other albums by Tom. I feel lucky to have it nonetheless.
I think it's my favourite album this year. New Years Eve is one of his best songs ever.
-
Apparently Jason Sudeikis and Seth Meyers helped get the band on SNL, who knew!
-
It got Exclaim's seal of approval! Plus a nice little interview with Jeff.
-
Paste give it an 8.5, say it's their best since YHF.

This morning at 10am! They're playing tunes live in studio and will have an interview, should be good!
-
They killed it on Colbert man.
-
-
One Sunday Morning, especially after seeing it live twice, it just kills me.
-
It was a really nice chat!
Crazy to hear that the music for One Sunday Morning was done in one take right as Jeff was showing them the song.
-
Last nights show was a really good one, definitely a different vibe than the two Toronto shows but I think no less enjoyable.
It was super intense all the way up until OSM, and I don't think Jeff even said a word until HTFL. Shouldn't Be Ashamed was a real treat and I absolutely LOVE that they're not doing the Walken/Hate It Here songs in the encore, I'm Always In Love is a VERY worthy replacement. The light show is really really good on this tour and the projections are really enhancing rather than distracting. Also, no matter what we say about WTA though, BBN and One Wing are absolute monsters live, one of the many highlights for me.
We met Jeff after the show and he said that the Montreal show was his favourite of the tour so far so I really think the new songs are fitting in really well amongst the old stuff (plus we have the most hilarious picture of Jeff ever).
-
I'm a bit late to post as I've been traveling but here we go!
The second night at Massey was way better than the first night, definitely in terms of setlist and sound but also just in the itself (no endearing lyric flubs?). I absolutely loved the live debuts of One Sunday Morning and Rising Red Lung, but I will say they sounded better in Montreal.
All the new songs are sounding really great though and I think they really hold up against all of our favs. I'm probably not saying anything else new in this thread other than it was a really good one.

The country-ish tune he's playing right now wasn't played in Detroit just sayin.
