This will be rad. Andrew Bird has a very layered, beautiful sound, playful and nonsensical lyrics, and is especially notable for his incorporation of violin and whistling. I've been lucky enough to see Bird 5 times, and it's been amazing every time. Dosh is a beast, but I'm anxious to hear what Glenn and Bird have created.

If this concert series is released on DVD, my life will be complete. Wilco is such an epic band that is around their peak, and it would be such a shame to not professionally release something to prove to the future they existed.

Well, not that there could be any consolation to the others in mourning, but Arcade Fire is coming to St. Paul on September 30th. It sucks I won't be able to see the make-up because I'm moving to Milwaukee. I haven't been this bummed since my dog died. I will make it my life mission to find a cure for the adult chicken pox.

Me and a few friends have been looking forward to this for a while...damnit. The great irony of it all is that we were joking that something like this would happen...

Sky Blue Sky is another unique, and equally brilliant album. It may be different, but what is wrong with that? The lyrics are to be appreciated for their simplicity and clear emotions while the music is just beautiful. The diversity Wilco is revealing makes me anticipate the future of whatever art they wish to deliver.

I must also add that Nels solo on Impossible Germany is just...wow....

I too am seeing Bird tommorow at the Zoo. I just saw the Eels (and Smoosh...) there and it is such a great venue. Not a bad seat in the house. Im excited to check out the animals again too!

Summerfest was amazing. The set was great and the boys played well as always. The people sitting in my area didn't seem to know any of the songs or show any signs of life for that matter, but I guess that is just a Summerfest thing...Jeff was lively and it was hilarious to hear him say Wisconsin instead of Pekin. GREAT SHOW! Can't wait to hear the recording. Thanks to all the tappers!
