Jeff mentioned that When You Wake Up... had been one of the most requested songs through the band's Web site, but prior to that, he had said that One By One had actually been the most requested for this show. The band, Jeff said, hadn't been able to find a good place for it in the regular set, so it had simply decided to put it at the start "to get it out of the way." Noting the relative smattering of applause afterward, Jeff added that the potential for a stuffing of the ballot box in terms of requests was "the fatal flaw of our system: it rewards the few at the expense of the many."

 

 

Ha!. after 2 shows of yelling out for it and requesting it online, they finally caved in and did, albeit a dirty look on jeff's face towards me

i read an interview with don henley a month or so, when the usual questions came up and he  said the Eagles probably wont tour again. obviously they knew soemthing that we didnt (just like with Bowie). RIP Glenn

the first tour ended on Feb 1st '96 in melbourne. i should know - i was there

the 2nd one didnt make it to japan and australia because robert had another one of his hissy fits

the latest reports i've heard is that was cardiac arrest, but i also think drugs were involved. Core didnt really grab at first, but Purple sure did

i forgot to mention John Fogerty opening one his shows here with Traveling Band. i hadnt heard him play that one in more recent time (2005), so i cringed when the intro started, thinking he wont be able to pull it off - boy was i wrong 

i few of us back in primary school thought it would be fun to splash a bucket of water at a cars window as it went past. it was more fun when the windows were down    it wasnt too much fun when we got busted and some time in the principals 'house' 

i listen to Airline to heaven and One by one a few times a day, and Acuff rose, by choice... and with other tracks, quite often!

i saw fleetwood mac a few days ago. crappy seats, but she still has it. and she was a cutey in the 70s. no guilt at all!

Now that the Cutting Edge is out the way is finally clear for Bootleg Series Volume 13: Blood on the Tracks right?? I want to hear 10 different versions of Lily, Rosemary and the Jack of Hearts.

i heard from a good source that the blood on the tracks outtakes were in the pipeline, but this one came out first

I've requested "Dreamer in My Dreams" at each and every one of my 13 shows. Still never heard it. 

 

But i've gotten "Cars Can't Escape" twice. 

we had Dreamer on the setlist a few years ago as the final song, but they played late greats and wheel instead... oh well!

no, i know its just past Leongatha, but with my hand injuries i cant drive that far, plus there'll need to be accommodation. oh well, i made the trip to sydney in 2007 to see them again, so that should be enough!
