  1. ...Needless to say Glenn adds an important dynamic to the band. Though the Glenn = Wilco stuff is a little over the top. I mean they wouldn't be as good without him but... they woudl still be Wilco.

Yeah, maybe they would still be Wilco...sorry, let me revise that equation...EUREEKA!

  2. "Hey, you know that jerk that yells at Jeff 'Blackeye sucks!', that was me!"

the "I'm in love!" guy, on the other hand...

Are you claiming to be THAT GUY? Don't be THAT GUY, please...

    Dear THAT GUY,

Anyone rude enough to yell something like that at a performer while hiding behind a crowd of unanimous people deserves whatever he's got coming to him. No one should pity you because your dumbass was captured on video and distrubited across the globe...

Black Eye rules, you deserve one,

and if you don't think so, drink poison... :beer ... :throwup ... :dead

  3. A dramatic reinactment of how Glenn joined Wilco, performed by emoticons:

1999 - Ken Coomer (ex-drummer) stands outside Wilco's recording loft:

    :frusty

Tweedy to Coomer: :argue "Dude, this is your place too," says Tweedy. "$#@% man, where's my paycheck!?" says Coomer.

2000 - Jeff is on tour with Jim O'Rourke...O'Rourke introduces Glenn and Jeff.

Love at first symbol crash: Glenn > :love :wub

    Meanwhile, back at the loft:

Coomer gets a phone call > :frusty "What? You've hired a new drummer? I HATE YOU TONY MARGHERITA, I HATE YOU!"

And Wilco lived happily ever after...well, sort of...

    Jeff and Jay B: :argue

    Stirratt: :guitar

    Glenn: ;)

Stay tuned for "A dramatic reinactment of Jay Bennett's exit of rock group Wilco, performed by emoticons."

  4. Jay Bennett would be nothing if it weren't for Wilco so anyone who feels bad for the guy when reporters ask him about it, forget it...he owes a lot to Wilco. That being said, Wilco owes a lot to him as well and I think they know that much of their success before and leading up to YHF can be attributed to him.

Let's all just take a moment and be thankful that post-Bennett Wilco still manages to rock our socks off day in and day out.
