Yeah I thought it was strange he was playing Louisville again, since he just played there in the Spring, I think.

think about it.. Wilco. at Warsaw. no balconies. just floor.
crazy.
I think the best venue I have seen Wilco at would be the student center at West Virginia University (The Mountainlair Ballroom). I wasn't expecting much from a tiny college student center as the venue, but it was great. The place was small and all floor. Plus it was just Wilco, no opener. ("An Evening With Wilco" as Jeff called it). It was terrific, but I'm sure it is no Warsaw.
I read on Pitchfork today Ryan Adams added a few more dates. He is playing Louisville on July 11. I just started listening to him a few months ago and I'm really tempted to go. It would be worth it right? How much do tix usually run for his shows?

I would love to see Walken.

They almost put me to sleep in Cincinnati
My thoughts exactly.
Very repetitive sounding and they need a real drum set. That bass drum just rolled on and on to no end.

So many of the Being There tunes are awesome live.
They just need to go ahead and play 40 song set lists and make everyone happy.

Thanks. I now remember the I'm a Wheel performance. Sansone was windmillin' like a young Townshend.
Anyone have a video of this? I couldn't find it on YouTube.

I listened to Summerteeth the other day. I can never rank the Wilco albums (other than AM at the end), but Summerteeth is always great to listen to, especially with headphones on when you can really hear all of the overdubs and other stuff going on.
It was the 2nd Wilco album I ever listened to about 2 years ago. I'd love to see them start playing a few others from the record during live shows, but that's not for me to decide.

John's vocals really stick out beautifully on this version of You Are My Face.

Anyone have word on if Sufjan Stevens will release anything in the coming year?
Haven't heard, but I'm hoping he'll release something.

Is there any way to get versions of yours that can be viewed without Webshots?
I could put them up in a .zip file or something if you really want them. I'm open to any other suggestions you may have...

Man, I would have traded What Light for Outta Sight in a heartbeat for the Cincy show.

First 9 photos are from Thursday's Cincinnati show.
The other half of the album are shots from the Morgantown, WV show last fall.

Yeah, I got a good laugh from the little jab at Pitchfork.
Fantastic show. I've got some photos I'll post at some point.
-
Title track is really good though...
All of their title tracks are terrific.
-
I'd love to hear this stuff as well.
-
first listen impression: not good
I feel the same way, although I do love the 2nd track.

Theologians rocks a lot harder live, Via Chicago, and Walken is amazing.
-
I'll be there, first row of the lodge section.

Margot and Nuclear So and So's
They put on one heck of a live show. Terrific. Their studio album doesn't do them justice.

When I listen to it, it makes me think it should be a song on the new album.
-
The Bees (UK)- new album is fantastic
Southeast Engine- often compared to early Wilco. Great band from Athens, OH
Joe Pisapia- 4th member of Guster
Lanhorne Slim
Starlight Mints

Thanks for all the suggestions, everyone.

I want to read a Beatles or two book over the summer. I know there are tons, but I was wondering if anyone could recommend one that they think is the best or most comprehensive.
So far, I think Bob Spitz's 990 page Beatles Biography looks to be pretty good.
Also, Many Years From Now looks like a good read on Paul McCartney.
Weightiest track?

I'm a sports guy, so I've always compared tracklistings to batting orders in baseball.
gotta have an upbeat leadoff track, or at least something that gets the listener's attention. Something to get on base.
3 and 4 holes are your big hitters.
Gotta a save a guy for the end of the lineup, a consistent track/hitter that will always do his job.
That is probably completely out there, but it makes sense in my mind.
