Madcap

When they've done Chicago runs like this in the past, there have been maybe 4-5 repeats a night, so this is a little unusual.  It seems like they've been varying the sets up less and less going back to the Star Wars tour.  

Good show, nice to see forget the flowers, radio cure, ALTWYS, and company in my back pop up. Was a little disappointed in the amount of repeats from Wednesday, especially with most of them coming in the same spot in the set. Hopefully they vary it up a little more this weekend or at least play some of the other Scmilco songs.

Saw Jeff tell John no and wave off the guitar switch after California Stars, I always wonder what determines that kind of stuff. Great show though, hopefully the setlists vary the next three nights like they traditionally do during these runs.

I'm actually really glad I don't live in the NYC area because figuring out how to do all 13 of those shows would be a bear (and I would literally die afterwards!). Hell, it's taking some gymnastics to get to all 4 Winterlude shows!

lame.  hope they add some Chicago or Alpine dates too.

hell yes.  It makes things a little bit easier to know that your musical hero is a legit dude.

anyone ever see any of those bands?  Worth getting there early to check them out?

I'm also hoping for no openers.  Get Wilco on ASAP so I can get myself home 45 min earlier   .  If they do have openers though, I hope they're similar to the last Winterlude, those were pretty interesting if nothing else.

Really wish they were doing alpine again as it's a huge pain to get into and park at Wrigley from the burbs, but I don't think I can miss these. Had a much better time at the dead and co shows last summer than I did phish.

Was listening to Let's Fight this morning and was wondering how many other songs like it are out there: originals that were played live but never recorded/released. It doesn't seem like they try out new songs live so I'm guessing it's a short list:

I got Box A for Saturday night as well.  Never sat in the boxes there, should be interesting.  Anyone ever sat there?

Was able to get a really good single for Wednesday and Thursday. Just need to get Saturday on the public sale and I'm set!

In the past they've announced all of the shows at once, so I'm guessing it will just be the three.

Has anyone with defective vinyl heard back from the Schmilcovinyl email or Kung fu? I emailed them on Tuesday and haven't heard anything yet still.

I got my defective orange vinyl pre-order on Monday.  Waiting to hear back from Wilco on a replacement...

My orange vinyl is definitely off center on side B. The needle is moving back and forth at least an 1/8th of an inch! Just reached out to schmilcovinyl@gmail.com as Wilco instructed people to do on their FB page.

Yep I think this is what's going on with mine too. Think I've learned my lesson on colored vinyl, just not worth it.

Has anyone noticed that their orange vinyl is popping and skipping quite a bit? I had to turn it off halfway through someone to lose because that and nope were all over the place. I've used my brush on it already but I might have to take a paper towel or something and hope it's just vinyl debris.

Was kind of bummed about that since I was hoping for someone as well known as Kurt Vile, but I checked out some Twin Peaks and they sound really good.

Since Kurt Vile is opening for them the night before in Minneapolis, he's my choice. That would be an amazing double bill.

I pulled a decent pair on the Wilco presale and debated throwing them back to take my chances on better seats with the general onsale and I am really glad I didn't do that.  I checked to see what I could get at 11 out of curiosity and as you said, it was a major bust.  Maybe they'll ad a Saturday night show now?

I have two copies since the first one was slightly damaged, so I wanted to see if anyone was interested in it.
