  1. I was only able to pick up the Wilco DVD (which is awesome). I went to Reckless on Milwaukee Ave and the Pavement LP was way sold out (got there at 11). Does anyone who got it have the ability to rip it and upload it to sendspace or something? I'd love to hear it.

  2. how tough is it to get a seat on the floor? (and do they put seats in the entire floor area or is it still standing?). each year i've gone i've headed straight to the balcony, but since I a;ready paid $100 for a ticket, I may have to check out the floor this year :lol

  3. well that is pretty absurd that they'd think Chicago needs a break from them! So who's the opening act going to be then? Judging by the fact that Death Cab and Wilco are on the rest of the leg you'd think it'd be someone relatively good. I am not happy about this at all!

  4. what are the odds that Wilco is NOT opening in Chicago? I'll still likely go regardless, but it's a lot easier to make a trek out to Rosemont on a Tuesday night if i'm getting Wilco AND Neil.

  5. I don't know if it's because I've been looking forward to this for so long, but I was actually a little disappointed. The band didn't really seem too into it and I was shocked at how short the show was. It never really seemed as if they got into any kind of rhythm. Pretty disappointed that they didn't play Baltimore too. 15 songs, 85 minutes, I guess I was expecting a little more.

they also played some cover song that I didn't recognize, but that was pretty good.

  6. some friends and I were considering going to the SC show next week and if they came back to Chicago in a month for another 2 nights, i'd go to both. I think it'd be tough to go back to see a 'regular' show now that all these old tunes have been busted out, but if Wilco is in my town, I can't NOT go. I'll be at the residency next year if they do one, no doubt.

  7. Before the show I was thinking how it'd be cool to see Pieholden Suite or Be Not So Fearful. Was really excited to hear those, especially because I figure'd there would be no way he'd play Pieholden. I thought the accoustic Spiders was fantastic as well.
