  1. No clue. Was one of the first Google images that came up.
  2. When will TF usher in the "Victor Era"?
  3. To a certain extent I agree with this. However, in the grand scheme of things, most of the music discussed here is not exactly widely-embraced, let alone known by most folks who happen to listen to popular music in the first place.
  4. Agreed. However, I reserve the right to change my mind once Keef releases his first-person narrative response to "C & A."
  5. One of my favorite records of the 21st century. When do those lists start coming out? September?
  6. Keeping with The Hold Steady, "Constructive Summer" Me and my friends are like Double whiskey, coke no ice We drink along in double time Might drink too much but we feel fine "Party Pit" Gonna walk around and drink some more Gonna walk around and drink.
  7. Patterson Hood & The Screwtopians Daytrotter Sessions Gotta love the cover of "All the Girls Love Alice."
  8. But not 1/100th as goofy as Keef actually doing it.
  9. All good. I just think the story of Keith Richards is what inspired Jay to write the song in the first place. It served as the catalyst to examine some of the the themes in the song. The inclusion of such a line like "I snorted my father" is a nod to what inspired him to write it in the first place. It is bizzare. But I like how Jay was able to use such an insane story to write about some more serious and unsettling themes. It works for me.
  10. I don't think the song is simply about Keith Richards snorting his father's ashes. However, the event is what inspired the song. I like how Jay uses the bizzare story to delve into issues of mortality, grief, and sorrow. In this context, I don't find it to be forced or clunky.
